At Mama's Home, every dish is created with intention—and every flavor tells a story.

Rooted in my Virginia upbringing, Carolina connections, Louisiana influences, and shaped by experiences living across the country, my cooking reflects a blend of Southern comfort, Creole soul, Cajun flavor, and traditions whose roots trace back to West and Central Africa, the Caribbean, and the American South.

The inspiration for Mama's Home came from my children, who encouraged me to share my home-cooked meals beyond our family table. Their belief in me, along with the legacy of my mother, grandmother, and the generations of women who came before me, inspired me to turn my passion into purpose.

Today, Mama's Home provides personal chef services and private dining experiences throughout the Charlotte area, creating flavorful meals that bring people together and turn moments into memories.

But the vision extends beyond the table.

Through Mama's Home CARES, we are committed to feeding the community, uplifting lives, and creating lasting impact. One of the signature initiatives of Mama's Home CARES is The DOT House, inspired by the legacy of my mother, Dorothy aka "DOT". Currently in its founding phase, The DOT House is being built to provide hope, housing, and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness and life transitions.

What began as Sunday dinners in my Charlotte kitchen has grown into something much bigger—a mission rooted in love, legacy, and connection.

Because I believe there is a real need to bring love back into our homes, our communities, and ultimately into the lives of those who need it most.
